Quarts
I grew up in Derby Hostel until I was five years old, then moved to Cherrabun Station before starting school in Fitzroy Crossing. I have spent most of my life between the Fitzroy Valley and Derby. I began making art later in life. When I was a beginner, I was inspired by the other women at Marnin Studio, and they were very encouraging. I didn't know much about painting, but the women told me to do it my own way, so I did. I'm passionate about bringing new ideas and always wanting to try something different. Now, I really enjoy my time in the studio and specialise in painting boat nuts, canvases, and creating bush-dyed scarves. I am inspired by the colours and textures found in the wet and dry seasons of my home.
